Case Re-Coding Specialist
This position would be as a part-time employee for the National Institute for Safety Research, Inc. (NISR). NISR has been engaged in various contracts related to traffic safety research, training, and consulting since 1981. The principal responsibility of the Case Recoding Specialist position will be the coding and entry of data for future quality control assessment associated with two databases maintained by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Recoders will also be tasked with producing state specific reports regarding the data for their assigned states and may also be assigned analytical duties for preparation of training materials related to information obtained through or supported by the Recode Study. You will also be expected to perform various duties as assigned related to the fulfillment of job tasks in NISR contracts.
It is anticipated that this position will work an average of 30 hours per week. Applicants can move to full-time if skills prove to be applicable to other contract tasks. Hours are flexible. Compensation will occur on or about the 1st and 15th day of each month based upon a negotiated hourly rate. Net pay is subject to deductions for taxes and other withholding as required by law or the policies of the company. Pay will be based upon the hours worked during the pay period. Employment is contingent on the candidate passing a US Department of Transportation (DOT) background check because of access to sensitive data. Failure to successfully pass a DOT background check may affect hiring. The DOT background check will be performed at no cost to the candidate.
